Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute your time and skills to your community? Consider volunteering at the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank. From stocking shelves, reception, administration, maintenance, to committee participation,we may have a volunteer position to match your interests.

Is your group committed to community involvement? Opportunities exist for churches, service clubs, youth groups, schools, and others to help in a variety of ways. 

All high schools require 40 hours of Community Service; the Food Bank is more than welcome to provide you with work to do to accomplish your 40 hours.

 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The following ongoing volunteer positions are currently available:

  

  

CLOTHING ROOM CO-ORDINATOR:

 

We are looking for a clothing room co-ordinator to help us in our clothing room.

 

Duties to include:

  1. 1.  oversight of the clothing room
  2. 2.  sorting and organization of clothing as donations come in
  3. 3.  scheduling volunteer co-op members to work in clothing room
  4. 4.  collect stats and data for evaluation purposes for the Food Bank

 

If you think you might have 4-8 hours a week and could help out please call for an appointment to learn more about this exciting postition at the Food Bank.  

 

 

 

 EARLY MORNING DRIVER:

 We are looking for an early morning driver to pick up a local grocery store.

 

 Duties to include:

1.  pick up breads / produce from local South end grocery store

2.  Deliver items to the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank

3.  Unload goods at the Food Bank, weigh in and record weight
