Spring Food Drive
Running now until Friday, April 13th – Community Wide
Summer can be a quiet time in terms of donations to the Food Bank, which makes our Spring Food Drive so incredibly important. Please consider making a financial donation or food item donation during this campaign. You can donate online here. You can drop off donations at our office (54 Ainslie Street South), or you can throw your own food drive, more details about this can be found here.
Stuff a Van!
Saturday, April 21st – Walmart (22 Pinebush Road, Cambridge)
A few times a month, we partner with a local grocery store around town and reach out to our community! We bring our big empty van out bright and early in the morning with the goal of stuffing it full of nutritious items. It’s an opportunity for our community to engage with our friendly volunteers and ask questions about the food bank and also a convenient way to donate our most needed items of the month. It’s also the easiest way to donate fresh produce to the Food Bank, as you can drop your donations off on your way out of the store to our truck, which goes directly back to the food bank at the end of the day. This month, we’re partnering with Walmart Canada for their Fight Hunger! Spark Change! Campaign.
Mayor’s State of the City Address
Thursday, April 26th – City Hall (50 Dickson Street, Cambridge)
Mayor Doug Craig will deliver this year’s annual State of the City Address and will touch upon the City’s growth and progress over the past year, as well as celebrate upcoming projects continuing to advance the city’s vision. The address will be live-streamed on the city website or can be followed along on social media using #cbridgeSOFC18. The city is generously donating all proceeds to the Food Bank and we wholeheartedly appreciate the support.
Stay tuned for a list of our upcoming Summer BBQ’s and more!
